Gomde Danmark et fantastisk retreat-sted

Netop hjemvendt fra et 21-dages retreat på Gomde ønsker jeg på opfordring at dele enkelte af mine oplevelser:

For andet år i træk har jeg i forlængelse af Summercamp praktiseret 21 dage alene i en af Gomdes små og enkle retreat-hytter (skurvogne).

Det har været en gave at kunne fordybe sig i praksis netop i forlængelse af Rinpoches undervisning, hvor motivationen er høj og hvor hjertet er åbent.

Da vores praksis er individuel vil jeg ikke kommentere min praksis, men dog sige, at det for mig har været vigtigt med struktur på dagen og de fire daglige sessioner. En rettesnor har været 5, 10 15, 20 – forstået således, at 1. session begyndte ca. kl. 5:00, 2. session ca. kl. 10:00 osv. - med gefühl naturligvis!

I mellem sessionerne har jeg lavet mad, læst spirituel litteratur, bl.a. den på kurset netop gennemgåede ”The Fligtht of the Garuda”, og vandret i den fantastiske natur på Gomde.

Disse gåture har givet den fornødne motion til, at kroppen har kunne klare den megen sidde-praksis og, at bevidstheden har kunnet lade sig forene med Gomdes havudsigt og særlige ”space”. Alene at opholde sig i naturen på Gomde synes at have en helende effekt.

Det har været vigtigt for mig at have en ”livsline” til en person, hvis der under retreatet opstod uventede problemer. En sådan rolle har værtsparret på Gomde haft. Herudover har de sørget for indkøb af mad, hvilket praktisk blev aftalt én gang om ugen pr. sms.

Det var en stor en stor glæde inden retreatet, at flere af de lokale sangha-medlemmer tilbød at hjælpe med madindkøb. Det gav en følelse opbakning og fællesskab.

Jeg betalte kr. 60,- pr. døgn hvortil skal lægges udgifter til madindkøb. Selv med en frivillig donation oveni oplever jeg det som meget billigt.

Jeg kan varmt anbefale Gomde som retreat-sted, og det vil glæde mig selv på et tidspunkt at hjælpe en retreat-praktiserende med indkøb af mad, madlavning eller på anden måde være til gavn.

Gomde Denmark a wonderful retreat-place

Just returned from a 21-day retreat at Gomde I wish to share some of my experiences:

For the second year running, I have an extension of Summercamp practised 21 days alone in one of Gomdes small and simple retreat-cabins.

It has been a gift to be able to immerse oneself in practice as an extension to Rinpoche's teaching, where the motivation is high and where the heart is open.

Since our practice is individual, I will not comment on my practice, but to say that for me it has been important to structure the day in the four daily sessions. A direction has been 5, 10 15, 20 - in that 1. session began around. kl. 5:00, 2. session about. kl. 10:00, etc. - with gefühl course!

In between sessions, I have made food, read the spiritual literature, including , at the course just examined "The Fligtht of the Garuda", and taken walks in the fantastic nature of Gomde.

These walks have given the necessary exercise to keep my body coping with a lot of sit-practice and let awareness reconcile with Gomdes view of the sea and special "space". Just to stay in the wild at Gomde seems to have a healing effect.

It has been important for me to have a "lifeline" to a person, if, under the retreat unexpected problems arose. Such a role did the host couple on Gomde have. In addition they arranged for the purchase of food, which practically was handled once a week each via sms.

It was a very great pleasure in retreatet that several of the local sangha members offered to help with food shopping. It gave a sense support and community.

I paid 60 kr, - per. day to which must be added the costs of food. Even with a voluntary donation on top, I regard it as very cheap.

I would highly recommend Gomde as retreat-place, and I will be very happy at some time to help a retreat-practitioner with the purchase of food, cooking or otherwise be of benefit.

News from Gomde DK: Phakchok Rinpoche is coming

Dear Erik, Tara, and Dharma Brothers and Sisters of Gomde Denmark:

Great news!! I'm really excited to be able to inform you that HHPCR is confirmed to come to Aarhus for two days of intensive teachings on Padma Garbha Tantra, Heart Sutra, and a special session of Q&A for meditators. As per Tara's suggestions, Rinpoche will be arriving in Aarhus on 28 Sept around 6PM and depart Aarhus on 1 Oct around 1:40PM.

Tara, I'll be sending you a bit later the passport names and info for both Rinpoche and Lama Tenphel Gyatso so that you can book their plane tickets.

Erik and Tara, thank you so much for your invaluable help and generous support. I rejoice that you are helping to sponsor Rinpoche's travel to make it possible for Rinpoche to come to Gomde. At the Dzogchen retreat he gave the empowerment at Rigpey Tsalwang (Empowerment for Awareness Display) according to Rigdzin Pema Jungney.

Lama Tendzin gave an explanation of the Ngakso puja based on the text "Ocean of Amrita" , translated by Heidi. (Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche would like to see Lama Tenzin's talk from 2006 and 07 transcribed and edited for the benefit of people in various countries. Volonteer?)

The dzogchen seminar of 2008 with Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche is now finished.

This Thursday, Rinpoche together with Buchung and Erik Pema Kunsang left Denmark to go to Gomde US. A group of approximately 30 practitioners greeted them as they drove off to Aarhus airport.

Rinpoche gave teachings on all the spontaneous songs of realization by Lama Shabkar found in "The Flight of the Garuda".

The seminar was concluded by an empowerment to Rigdzin Pema Jungney, one of the twelve aspects of Guru Rinpoche from the Barchey Kunsel cycle of teachings.

Needless to say, the teachings were amazing, and being among almost 100 friendly familiar faces of vajra brothers and sisters have been a wonderful experience.

Just as Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche left, the preparations for receiving Chokling Rinpoche and his family began.

This writer have now left Gomde, and will probably not be able to report or post any pictures from the teachings and empowerments with Chokling Rinpoche. But stay tuned, there may be others ready to share what's going on...

Today Chökyi Nyima gave a lecture for the children at Gomde.

Rinpoche told the kids that they should study well at school and be kind and sweet to each other.

Ngakso puja at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde.

A few years ago Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche suggested that we perform the Ngakso puja every year.

So, today the international sangha at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Denmark gathered to practice the Ngakso puja with feast offering.

Approximately 70 practitioners performed the vajrayana purification and mending ritual from the Barchey Künsel terma revealed by Chokyur Lingpa.

Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche was the vajra master, Lama Tenzin was leading the chants. Buchung played the drum and Achung was chöpön.

Everything proceeded very nicely with people being able to follow the text and actually do the practice without getting lost among the pages of the various chant books.

A lavish feast was offered with not only vajra pure offering articles, but also purely organic (and vegetarian).

Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche has arrived

After his visit teaching hundreds of tree-year retreatants at Lerab Ling and other places in France, Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche arrived to Rangjung Yeshe Gomde in Denmark.

Rinpoche's was in a great mood as he was welcomed by a group of his students, headed by Erik and Tara.

Rinpoche will start teaching from The Jewel ornament of Liberation after dinner today.

The Buddha statue has arrived

The Buddha statue has arrived, just a few hours before Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche's arrival. We have kept the crates in the Buddha Hall and they will be opened by Rinpoche.

Vores Chokling Rinpoche har kærligt doneret et sæt af hans nye udvidede udgave af Chokgyur Lingpa's Nye Dharma Skatte. Den er ankommet til Danmark via Jonas og ligger nu hos ham i København. Hvem vil have æren af at bringe samlingen på omkring 40 bind over til Gomde? Der er især vigtigt at de ankommer før Chokling Rinpoche's eget besøg. Den nye samling indeholder Dilgo Rinpoche's egne forklaringer på mange vigtige termaer, bl. a. Lotus Essence Tantra og Barchey Kunsel's Fulde Vej.

Sommerkursus med Erik Pema Kunsang og Lama Tendzin

”Sindelags træning” - sommerkursus med Erik Pema Kunsang og Lama Tendzin Rangjung Yeshe Gomde 25.- 28. juni.

At Erik Pema Kunsang nu har valgt Rangjung Yeshe Gomde på Helgenæs som udgangspunkt for hans aktiviteter er uvurderlig for alle, der er forbundet til Rangjung Yeshe Gomde. Da Erik har en langtrækkende vision og intention for stedet.

Som ganske ung drog Erik Pema Kunsang til Nepal og mødte Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. Dette møde var skelsættende og bevirkede at Erik blev og studerede hos Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche.

Siden slutningen af 70'erne har Erik været oversætter for Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche og hans sønner Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche og Chokling Rinpoche. I de sidste 30 år har Erik således levet på Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling klosteret i Boudhanath, Nepal, hvorfra han har fulgt Rinpoche'erne på deres rejser rundt i verden.

I hans engagement for at facilitere og introducere mestre fra praksislinierne til Vesten, har Erik udviklet hans særegne formidling. Derudover er det blevet til oversættelser af mere end 40 bind tibetanske tekster, mundtlige belæringer og on-line dharma ordbøger.

Chökyii Nyima Rinpoche opfordrede sidste år Erik til at videregive hans viden, hvilket var en stor glæde for Gomde, da vi i flere år har ønsket at Erik ville undervise.

Erik Pema Kunsang's åbne, humoristiske og frie stil kombineret med hans indsigt inspirerede sidste år den første gruppe, der var samlet til Sindelags kursus, og gjorde kurset til en stor succes. Skønt at opleve responsen fra dem, der var der af nysgerrighed. Alle var beriget af Eriks måde at videregive hans indsigt i Buddhas lære om sindet.

Vi har igen i år bedt Erik Pema Kunsang og lama Tendzin undervise på Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Denmark fra den 25. – 28. juni.

Siden barndommen har Lama Tendzin modtaget dybtgående instruktioner fra Rinpoche'erne på Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery i Boudhanath, Nepal, hvor han i mange år har ledet de tantriske ceremonier. For et par år siden fuldførte han den traditionelle tre års retreat, Vi er meget glade for at Lama Tendzin nu regelmæssigt besøger Rangjung Yeshe Gomde, hvor han leder retreats.

På dette introduktions kursus leder Lama Tendzin undervisningen i meditation.

“The Essentials of Buddhist Mind Training”

Course with Erik Pema Kunsang and Lama Tendzin - Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Dk 25.-28 June.

The fact that Erik Pema Kunsang has picked Rangjung Yeshe Gomde on Helgenæs Denmark as his base for his activities is invaluable for all who connect with Rangjung Yeshe Gomde, as Erik has a vision and wish for Rangjung Yeshe Gomde in Denmark.

As a young man, Erik went to Nepal, where he met Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. This meeting was so decisive that Erik stayed and studied with Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. Since the late seventies, Erik has been translator for Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and his sons Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and Chokling Rinpoche.

For the past 30 years, Erik has thus resided in Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Boudhanath, Nepal, from where he has followed the Rinpoches on their travels throughout the world. In his commitment to facilitating and introducing masters of the Practice lineage to the West, Eric has developed his special way of communicating. Furthermore, some 40 volumes of translations of Tibetan texts and dharma books have seen the light.

Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche last year asked Erik to transmit his knowledge, a great joy for Gomde, as we have been wishing for Erik to teach.

Erik Pema Kunsangs broad and humourous style in connection with his insight, last year inspired the first group gathered for Mind-training course, an event which became a great success.

This year, too, we have asked Erik Pema Kunsang to teach at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde in Denmark from the 25th to the 28th of June.

Since his childhood lama Tendzin has received profound instructions from the Rinpoches at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling monastery in Boudhanath, Nepal, where for many years he has led the tantric ceremonies. A couple of years ago he completed the traditional 3-year retreat. We are very happy that lama Tendzin now visits Rangjung Yeshe Gomde on a regular basis, conducting retreats.
In this introductory course lama Tendzin will supervise the meditation instruction.

Buddha Shakyamuni Dag onsdag den 18 juni

Lama Tenzin siger at onsdag den 18 juni er den helt rigtige dag at sætte nye bedeflag op på. Om formiddagen omkring kl 10 eller 11 leder han Buddha Shakyamuni praksis med rensende røg puja. Før det sættes der bedeflag op. Han beder jer som har lyst til at komme aftenen før og sætte en masse flag op sammen med ham. Alle er velkomne.
Fuldmånen i juni, i år onsdag den 18, er også Gomde Årsdag, som blev overtaget på Buddhas fuldmåne i 1995.

Lama Tenzin has arrived at Gomde DK

During our stretch of sunny weather, Lama Tenzin flew in from Austria to guide the Kumari Summer School at Gomde. He is teaching daily classes in bodhisattva training and meditation.

On Wednesday, June 18th, we celebrate the Saga Dawa Duchen, the enlightenment of Buddha Shakyamuni. Keep in touch for details of time.

Under vores stræk med solrigt vejr, fløj Lama Tenzin ind fra Østrig for at lede Kumari sommerskole på Gomde. Han giver undervisning dagligt i bodhisattva træning og meditation.

På onsdag den 18 juni, fejrer vi Saga Dawa Duchen, Buddha Shakyamuni oplysnings day. Hold øje her om detaljer for tidspunktet.
