Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche asked us to formulate the topic she will teach on during the retreat at Gomde Denmark.
The human condition, our daily lives, is often a carnival ride of ups and downs, fleeting moments of joy so hard to keep and pangs of unfulfilled longing, of hope and fear. When we begin to explore what lies at the core of this wheel -- the owner of all this -- we discover an area that shies away from light. This is the "blind spot of existence" and is the basis for the ego-belief.
The basic deception of ego performs daily dances of emotions and feelings. This ego-belief requires so much work to maintain. It also creates myriad types of painful states. In short, selfish emotions are toxic. They poison not only the chance for a happy life and harmony among people, but are the main villains on the spiritual path which every genuine practitioner must face and conquer.
During three days, Khandro Rinpoche will teach us how to deal with the blindness of unknowing and the deception it involves, on increasing deeper levels.
Khandro Rinpoche shares the same gurus as Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and we look very much forward to share this fortunate opportunity will all of you.
